YumaPAY
Scale Your Business : YumaPOS for Single to Franchise Growth
Single Store, Multi-Store & Franchising
I want to briefly talk about how multiple STORES in the same TENANT may be configured to meet your goals.
As part of your SAAS you get access to pretty much everything YumaPOS has to offer.
Whether you use it or not, is up to you.
We will not charge you double everything if you want to add a second STORE to your TENANT.
Nor if you want to use it as a franchising model.
However, this could add a level of complexity, depending on how you structure our STORES and the level of control your staff / franchisees need.
Inventory Pool
When you create INVENTORY ITEMS, they are placed into a “pool”.
Until you actually transact the INVENTORY ITEM, it will not appear in the INVENTORY LOCATION attached to the STORE.
How do you “transact” ?
- Enter a VENDOR INVOICE
- Perform STOCK AUDIT
- Create a TRANSFER document
- Sell a MENU ITEM that has a RECIPE to an INVENTORY ITEM
This idea of a pool is counterintuitive as it really comes first, but it wouldn’t look right in a diagram.
YumaPOS Single Store
TENANT is what everything hangs off.
The STORE is attached to the TENANT.
The STORE will have a PRICELIST assigned ( usually called base Price List, but definitely not always ).
All of your APPs will connect to this STORE ( POS, KIOSK, WAITER, DRIVER, eSHOP, … ).
MENU CATEGORIES will be created under the STORE, which will have MENU ITEMS inside.
If you were doing no form of inventory control at all, here is where it would all stop.
If however, you are entering supplier invoices for each INVENTORY ITEM, you would usually have a RECIPE connecting your MENU ITEMS to your INVENTORY ITEMS. Remember from earlier email, one of the options for stock control was to use “bulk inventory items” ? If this method was being used, there could be no link ( ie RECIPE ) between MENU ITEMS and INVENTORY ITEMS.
How we love to complicate our lives 🙂
YumaPOS Multi-Store / Franchising
When you have multiple STORES under the same TENANT it looks exactly the same, but different ( That’s showing the Irish in me ! ).
While a POS is only connected to a single STORE ( usually ), multiple STORES can share the same PRICELIST or have their own.
If the STORES are selling exactly the same things, in exactly the same way, for exactly the same price, this approach will work.
Where the offerings are different or you want to allow a STORE franchisee access to change their own prices, I would suggest each STORE has its own PRICELIST.
One thing to note, if you set ITEM /MODIFIER availability using the PRICELIST, and restrict franchisee access to their own STORE PRICELIST, they cannot break another franchisees STORE.
