YumaPAY
Overview
In most cases, you will gather Customer details when they interact with YumaPOS :
- Cashiers enter basic details when making an Order / Sale.
- Customers enter their own details when they place an Order via your integrated eSHOP or Mobile App.
Sometimes, you may be running a Loyalty Promotion where potential Customers fill out a pre-printed form.
You could have a spreadsheet of Customer details that you want to import.
Maybe you are old fashioned and want to add Customers one at a time.
Either way, the “required” fields can be decided in Store Settings.
Create New Customer at the POS
Refer to the Articles on Processing Orders.
Create New Customer Using the BOM
Sign into Your BOM and navigate to Customers / Customers List.
Select the yellow <+> icon from the menu bar.
Fill in the details, noting that some will be marked * as compulsory, depending on your Settings.
Again, do NOT play with Card#. Let YumaPOS generate this automatically.
Including a Membership Number
Where you want to include a Membership Number, that becomes searchable at the POS, I have found that it is very effective to add it into the Name field like this …
Frederick James (M2345)
In this way, your cashiers can search for M2345 and NOT get false positives.
Remember to click on <Save>.
Import from Spreadsheet
From the menu bar, select <Import Customers> and then <XLSX Template>.
This will give you a comprehensive spreadsheet that you can fill in from an existing data export or manually filled in forms.
Take note of compulsory fields and again, leave Card# BLANK.
If you get confused about which field is which, head on over to Reports By Customers, run the report called Contacts and select <Export>.
